My trainers have decided that Barney isn't ready and of good enough quality for the AQHA show, which is coming up in a few months, so I won't be riding him AQHA :( I still plan to show him in 4H shows, though. Tammy's leg has shown little improvement, so my trainer (which is also Tammy's owner) is going to do everything she can to get Tammy back to her old self. I got to lope Tammy yesterday, but she was still sore, so we only did a few strides. We found out that she has a bone spur in her pastern, and that's what's causing her pain. If Tammy isn't better in time for the show... it looks like I won't be riding in it at all :( but, we can hope

YAYYYY!!!!!! I'm showing at the Quarter Horse shows this year! I'm still going to do shows at my local 4H, too. I'm most likely showing both Tammy and Barney. Tammy is a bit better than Barney, but she's sore so Barney's kind of my back-up. If I get Barney good enough, he may not be just a back-up, but I have a long way to go with him to get him good enough for AQHA. Tammy on the other hand, she's pretty much set. I just have to get her back into shape when her leg gets better. Both horses need a lot in Showmanship, though. We're going to work on that. I know that nobody really cares (lol, that doesn't bother me), but I'll keep ya posted with

This passed weekend, I rode this awesome horse named Mac. He's a registered quarter horse that has placed at national, world, and local shows. His owner showed him at Quarter Horse Congress a few years ago. Anyway, his owner wanted me to ride him so she could video him because he's for sale. I reeeeeeeeeally wish I could buy him, but I can't afford him :( I reeeeeeeeally hope I get to see him again before he gets sold. It would be amazing if my trainer bought him, though. I've been trying to convince her, so we'll see. In the future, I might be able to post some pics of him. He has a gorgeous blaze. He's super sweet. :) -SD
